Drawn to strange worlds, complicated characters and the questions that sit beneath everyday life, his writing explores what happens when the familiar becomes unfamiliar — and what remains of us when everything we know begins to change.
His stories move between the unsettling, the imaginative and the deeply human. Whether through short fiction or longer journeys, he is interested in the choices people make, the worlds they inhabit and the boundaries they cross.
Currently working on his novel Inferno alongside short fiction, L.K. Taylor believes stories should sometimes challenge expectations, take unexpected turns and venture beyond the familiar.
L.K. Taylor lives in the north of England with his wife. Away from writing, he enjoys reading, exploring nature and reflecting on life’s bigger questions. His interest in philosophy and the human experience continues to influence the worlds and characters he creates.
